JVC has expanded the live streaming features for its GY-HM250 4K camcorders. As the first camera manufacturer to provide streaming directly from the camera, JVC’s GY-HM250 models will now include SNS video streaming with vertical and square guidelines on the viewfinder, to ensure an ideal image capture on a variety of platforms and devices. The company is also adding direct streaming to YouTube Live.

The company is adding easy setup functionality, allowing GY-HC500 users to stream to Facebook Live and YouTube Live with the click of a button. The firmware also incorporates RTMPS protocol for its GY-HC900 cameras.

JVC has announced new firmware for its range of CONNECTED CAM models – now shipping – including the handheld GY-HC500 and GY-HC550 4K camcorders and the GY-HC900 broadcast camcorder, available in ENG and studio configurations. The latest firmware upgrade (v0110 for the GY-HC500/550 and v3.0 for GY-HC900, available free to existing customers) lets the cameras record to both SSD and SD media in a wide variety of formats, including Apple ProRes 422 recording and backup mode recording to an SSD drive.

JVCKENWOOD has announced its new CONNECTED CAM STUDIO compact live production and streaming suites. JVCKENWOOD introduced three new projectors designed for the visualisation and simulation markets at ISE 2018. The DLA-VS4700 projector offers native 4K resolution with e-shift technology to display up to 8K resolution, while the DLA-VS4010 is JVC’s brightest simulation projector and provides 11 percent more vertical picture area than other 4K projectors.
